The AbP Live platform & system will only work if 100% of all profits it generates (and not a percent less) are directed towards charitable, environmental and cultural projects that actively serve the common good of humanity.

So how do we develop an initiative of this scale if we can't call on private investors? (i.e. bodies that seek a return on investment).   

 

1 – With private donations, grants and CSR sponsorship.

How? By convincing enough people that the AbP Live project can make a real difference around the world. (Hence the detailed overview) If we succeed, investing 1,000 € today could mean generating 1 Billion € for the people and species that need it the most tomorrow. In other words, funding AbP Live means investing in a self-sustainable system with an exponential output – not a perishable action.

 

2 – Using Online “Mass Collaboration”.

How? By developing user friendly tools and engaging initiatives that compel, empower and reward as many skilled individuals as possible to take part in the development and running of AbP Live. In addition, we are convinced that making AbP Live an “open project” will enable our existing team to source invaluable talent and ideas that would be impossible to find otherwise. In other words, we need YOU! (whatever your discipline or level of skill)  

 

In the following plan of action you will find specific example of how you can help us achieve our immediate goals and become a member of our growing Community:

o To gain widespread public support. As with all “grand idea” facing the trial of reality, AbP Live’s greatest chance of success lies in the amount of people that are ready to believe in it. 

o To attract personal donations. “If one million people give a chocolate bar each, we will have the financial equivalent of all we need to develop the phase 2 of the AbP Live project” (building the original platform & system).

o To attract leading partners in all related fields. We do not have the pretention of being the “saviors of the universe”, AbP Live is just a tool and we need to collaborate with as many other organisations, companies and institutions as possible to give it its true form: “That of a universal initiative that is the sum of the best elements in each discipline”.

  

1 – INCREASE PUBLIC AWARENESS:  

a) Help us voice our cause around the Web, press, TV or simply tell your friends about the AbP Live project in whatever way you think is best. A personal/critical recommendation is worth a million ads!

2 – MAKE A DONATION:    

As a non-profit organisation we rely on your financial support to develop our collaboration tools, communication material, network, server space and other operations key to the development of AbP Live.

3 – JOIN THE A BEAUTIFUL PLANET PARTNER NETWORK (AbPPN): 

If you represent an organisation, a company or a public institution and would like to join forces with us or simply help out, please send an email to partners@abeautifulplanet.org.   

  

Our objective here is to create user-friendly tools that empower literally anyone to take part in the development of our cause. We are currently developing the following applications: 

1 -The AbP Live Builder (Live Builder in the menu bar).

This unique application will enable each one of you to take part in the conceptual, editorial, technical and graphic development of the AbP Live platform and its various applications.  

2 -The AbP Media Gallery (Media Gallery in the menu bar).

This application will let you take part in the development of the AbP Culture and its Visual Identity. It will also serve as a communication platform to voice our cause.  

3 – The Live Community Management System (LCMS).

This advanced internal network will serve as a base for all collaborators. It will feature User Accounts, an internal communication system and will enable us to grant each collaborator a specific level of access based on their Status Level. (The more “good contributions” you make, the higher you will rank)

Our objective here is to bring together as many skilled volunteers as possible to:

1 – Help our Team develop, populate and maintain the AbP Live platform and its cultural output.

2 – Crowd source invaluable talent from around the globe in order to make our current blueprint even better.

3 – Offer every willing individual the opportunity to play their part in the making of what is effectively a global system “for the people by the people”.    

You will find a description of all our Collaboration Groups in the Collaboration section. As you will see the spectrum of requirements is so wide that literally anyone can take part (whatever your discipline or level of skill).

 

 

Because of the justified rigidity of the Charity status, A Beautiful Planet is currently registered as a non-profit organisation in order to operate in a more flexible way. Although this makes no difference in practice (as 100% of all donations we receive are used to cover the costs of developing our cause), it will make a big difference for high-level donors when it comes to claiming tax returns (depending on local modalities).

Like any major website dealing with complex technologies, AbP Live requires a full time team of highly skilled professionals in various disciplines. Once this team is up and running we will launch the phase 2 of the AbP Live Collaboration Programme – the idea being to back each senior team member with a dedicated collaboration network. Once the first version of the AbP Live platform and its initial Applications are completed, we will start approaching the rights owners of the content (films, books, newspapers, etc) you and our editorial team will have selected from around the globe.

b) If you work in the media rights/distribution industry and would like to help us with legal formalities please join Group F (Legal Affairs) in the Collaboration section. 

 

 

In order to offer you free access to some of the best content and services on the web and enable you to automatically generate funds for the projects of your choice, we need to insure a sustainable client base. 

Our strategy here is simple: Create as much B2B awareness as possible - the superior quality of our media products will do the rest…

Like most websites, we will launch a first version of AbP Live in BETA (test mode). Because of the complexity of our technology, this first version will only be open to our close community (from Status Level 2*). The aim will be to test the whole system live and use feedback to make it better.

AbP Live is a unique initiative based on universal ideals rather than personal aspirations. Doing a classic marketing campaign would not serve our cause because we are not a “classic company” (if even a company!). Our marketing strategy can be resumed in one question: Why waste money on mind numbing billboards, tv commercials and banner ads when it could be uses to do something truly special? Something that would convey the true identity of A Beautiful Planet: Love for humanity, culture and visionary ideas…

b) Become a member of Group D (Culture & Events) in the Collaboration section.

 

 

The last step of our Plan of Action – Phase 2 is of course to launch AbP Live (www.abplive.com). Although most elements of the platform will enable universal access, some premium content applications will unfortunately be restricted to specific areas (because of distribution agreements set by the rights owners). Out objective from then on will be to grow our coverage, system, network and offerings.  

     

OVERVIEW

Developing our action in such a way will give AbP Live:

• Considerable awareness through word of mouth and virology.
• Functionalities that only leading web companies could afford to develop (and this at a fraction of the cost) 
• A critical mass of users; content; projects; and clients the day we launch AbP Live.
• A unique status within the hearts and minds of thousands of people around the globe.
