As a member of the Live Builder Guild you will be in charge of helping our team develop AbP Live. To make this process as efficient as possible we are developing an advanced Collaboration Tool called the Live Builder. It will gradually feature each Function Area and Application of the platform and will enable you to take part in up to five different ways (depending on the nature and requirements of each element):  

IDEA - Perfecting the concept:

We will call on your imagination, knowledge and criticism to help us make the ideas behind each element of AbP Live better. This type of collaboration will be text based (discussion forum like) and will use a special process that will help us identify the ideas that you and the rest of the community think are the best for each topic. (Note: you don’t need to be an IT expert to take part - at the contrary!)

CONTENT - Editorial structure:

When the proposed area or application deals with content (articles, videos, etc) you will be invited to give your recommendations and put forwards specific content you think we should consider publishing (e.g. The best: thriller films, wildlife documentaries, history of art books, etc). This type of collaboration will once again be text based but will encourage you to embed trailer videos, pictures, reviews, etc.

NETWORK - Help us find affiliates and partner websites:

As our aim is to offer you direct access to the best of the web via a single window, we will call on you to help us identify and tag the best websites and sources of content in every category and country (or at least most). All you will need to do is vote and/or embed a link in the corresponding category – we will do the rest.

CODE - Programming:

Because of the scale and technical ambition of AbP Live, we will call on all does of you with professional programming skills to help us develop AbP Live’s various areas, networks and applications.  

DESIGN - Layout, structure and content visualisation:

We will call on all those of you with designer /usability /artistic skills to help us create one of the most advanced visual universes on the web (based on our Cognitive Response Browsing Technology and Information Visualisation algorythms)

DEVELOPERS NEEDED:

The AbP Live Builder is a unique application that requires a lot of work and skill. If you are an IT engineer and would like to help us develop it or give a recommendation, please view & join our Tool Builder Guild (PHP developers would be particularly welcome!)  

All contributors will be rewarded with an on-site acknowledgement and AbP Status Points*. Status Levels & Points will grant you greater access and responsibilities as well as many other advantages. (See our community Structure in the Community section)
